Giving an AI agent access to your email, calendar, or other accounts raises a natural question: is it safe? Security should be the first consideration when adopting any AI tool, and we take it seriously at Barbed Technology. Here's how it works.

Data Encryption and Handling

All communication between you and your AI agent is encrypted in transit. Agent data is stored on secure infrastructure with industry-standard encryption at rest. We never share or sell your data, and your agent's conversations are private to you.

Agent Isolation

Each client's agent operates in an isolated environment. Your agent cannot access another client's data, and no other client can interact with your agent. This is not a shared system — your agent is yours alone.

Access Control

You decide what your agent can access. During onboarding, we discuss exactly which accounts and tools you want your agent to interact with. If you only want it to check your email and not send messages, that's configurable. If you want to add more access later, you can do that in a conversation. You remain in control at all times.

Telegram's Built-in Security

We use Telegram as the interface for your agent because Telegram provides end-to-end encryption for messages and is widely recognized as one of the most secure messaging platforms available. Your conversations with your agent are protected by Telegram's security model.

What We Don't Do

  • We don't store your passwords or login credentials
  • We don't monitor or log your conversations unnecessarily
  • We don't share agent access across clients
  • We don't use your data to train public AI models

Your Responsibility

Good security is a partnership. Use strong, unique passwords. Keep your Telegram account secure with two-factor authentication. Only grant your agent access to accounts you're comfortable automating. These are the same best practices you should follow for any digital service.

Security isn't a feature we add later — it's built into how we deploy every agent from day one.
